Review of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) by Sumit S — 09 Nov 2012
Classic direction, impressive cast, memorable performances, cool screenplay, sweeping widescreen cinematography & a powerful and haunting score.. All this, gave birth to the greatest western film of all time that has loads of brilliant tension creating situations which reaches sky high during the final showdown, which certainly is, one of the most electrifying climaxes ever filmed, & is more bone-chilling & breathtaking due to Ennio Morricone's masterpiece soundtrack.
With this masterpiece, the musical genius of Ennio Morricone & incredible direction of Sergio Leone is a combination that may probably never be equaled. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is one of the greatest foreign films ever made & also a standard by which all the western genre films are measured.
