Review of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) by Everybody- — 09 Jun 2020
The greatest most epic western ever made, Eli Wallach steals the show as Tuco in what might be the best uneasy alliance in film history with Clint Eastwood's Blondie. The ending of the film is the greatest ending I have ever seen to a motion picture, the way the cinematography and music comes together in that final scene is sublime, spiritual and hypnotic in fact the ending is the greatest scene in film history everything from the moment they arrive at sad hill up until the end credits is absolute perfection.
All film is subjective but that was simply my experience with it, the soundtrack to the entire film is beyond great and everything before the ending is also excellent with the highlight for me being Tuco in the gun shop, extremely entertaining scene. An absolutely astonishing film.
