Very disappointed in this. I found this to be one of the most overrated movies of all time. Overlong, dull and tedious. The whole plot relies on a series of coincidences with Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef continuously coming in and out of each others journeys and miraculously coming across significant plot devices.

All movies need one or two coincidences for a narrative structure to work but this is what the whole movie uses to advance.

Eastwood's life been saved miraculously twice at the spur of the moment was a bit pathetic and silly too.

Wallach is supposed to be a long time bandit but acts more like an hyperactive child, Van Cleef is under used, and Eastwood is his usual wooden self who never changes his expression throughout, and is way too wooden to generate any suspense.

The historical inaccuracies were glaring and the dubbing beyond awful. Not even the best spaghetti western ever made, never mind one of the all-time greats.
