Review of The Good Son (1993) by Rain W — 18 Jan 2011
A bit short, like the leads lol. But this was interesting to watch. I knew Macaulay Culkin could play someone evil, so he wasn't why I saw this. The plot sounded simple, and had the potential to be creepy (remember, Culkin's supposed to be the good son, and his sweet smile on the cover hints at someone without a sense of guilt).
So Macaulay squints his eyes a lot, and Elijah widens his eyes a lot, due to the horrors committed by Culkin. Elijah plays someone who would do anything to protect his extended family. He's a wide eyed, angelic boy indeed - the real good son here, which is symbolic at the end.
