Review of The Good Son (1993) by Joel A — 05 Aug 2013
Where to begin with this. The performance given by Macaulay Culkin is really bad... he seems so nonthreatening and the most simple solution to this child's behavior is to discipline him. Elijah Wood does a better job, but aside from that the acting is just overall bad.
The story isn't good, the "shocking" scenes aren't shocking, and there is really nothing entertaining about this movie. Seeing that this is listed as a "Mystery & Suspense" movie I want to clarify there is no mystery to this, Macaulay Culkin does everything bad that happens in this movie and they show it.
There is no suspense either and I ended up laughing when the mother dropped Macaulay Culkin because of how bad it was.
