The idea of Culkin being a bad kid might have sounded mediocre on paper but it feels flat and almost the same as his other movies. Elijah Wood is also very bad too. You see stuff like this as a kid and just think "Wow.
They're trying really hard here and it just isn't happening." The idea of Culkin actually posing any threat is ludicrous too. It worked comedically in Home Alone in a cartoony way but there is no way Culkin is unbeatable.
I remember seeing the trailer for this and just laughing.
