Review of The Good Shepherd (2006) by Dustin G — 08 Feb 2010

Very very interesting movie. I loved the story of this. How the CIA came to be and so on. I especially loved the acting. Everyone involved here (with the exception of Jolie, who I'm not a fan of) is top notch and 100% believable. It was so awesome to see Joe Pesci again as well, if only briefly. What the hell happened to that guy anyway? The movie also looks great, dark and drab most of the time, lots of shadows and muted colors. Very fitting.

So I loved the story, the acting, the directing by De Niro, the pace is slow and the movie is long and it's not overly exciting, but it's interesting enough to keep your interest firmly in place for its duration.
