This is slow going. The director is often trying too hard, with many plot details shown through a single detail of a scene. Great if you are going to watch something several times for a cult film, but even the ones I caught left me thinking I was being quizzed.

The strongest theme here is Matt Damon being taught that he cannot trust anyone or let anyone get close to him. And in the movie he is the coldest, least approachable person there, including all the people who taught him to not trust anyone.

At no point does he ever display any qualities that may lead someone to think that he would be good to be/work/life with. (ok, we are pretty sure that a Yale/Skull & Bones guy is smart) I wanted to like this, but Matt Damon's character is just too wooden.
