Billed as the "godfather of CIA movies", I would respectively disagree. The movie doesn't quite attain that stature but is interesting in its own right. The film is stock full of a high caliber cast: Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and others.
The narrative structure gets annoying and slow at times, but the theme is powerful: what is it like to live a lie and not trust anyone? By focusing on the history of the CIA's development, the story also runs parallel with the struggles of one man's family life.
