BRAVO to the cast and crew of this TRUE story that moved me to tears! The film starts during the brutal war in Sudan, that left tens of thousands of orphaned refugees seeking protection in Kenya. Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America.

Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America. The main characters are played by actual refugees-two of whom were child soldiers-and their performances were very good alongside Reese Witherspoon (Carrie).

For these Sudanese refugees, settling in Missouri took a great deal of effort but we see and feel how the power of unity can overcome anything life throws at us. A vivid and moving portrayal of what happened to many Sudanese refugees, but also at how people who come from underprivileged parts of the world experience the United States.

As Richard Corliss from Time magazine said: "If a moviegoer can't cry for the great tragedy of these Sudanese children, and be touched by their small victories, then who on earth deserves our tears and cheers?".

Terrific motion picture and highly recommended!!!!
