Review of The Good Lie (2013) by Robin E — 26 Mar 2016
Not as the advertising would suggest a Reese Witherspoon movie (hers is a supporting role), instead this is a stirring account of some Sudanese refugees trying to forge a new life in the USA. Its opening passages are the strongest as some small children must fend for themselves after their village is massacred, though the scenes in the US are nicely played too.
And when Witherspoon does show up, she brings some welcome pizzazz too.
