With George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Tobey Maguire how bad could it be? Uh, well, I guess the point was to imitate the acting style in film noir but we just thought it was not very well acted, especially in the case of Tobey Maguire (can't get past him as Spiderman anyway).

Stylistically interesting but that's about it--at the climax we thought, so that's all that's going to happen? Too much an homage to Casablanca, so much so that the last scene was too much to bear.
