Review of The Good Dinosaur (2015) by Matheus D — 12 Jan 2016

Has no better way to start 2016 with a new animation from Pixar, and even if it is not better than classics like "Finding Nemo" or even the previous one "Inside Out" which I thought was fantastic, it does not take away the power of "The Good Dinosaur" that as was to be expected, at least for me, is a spectacular and worthy animation to become a new classic of the studio.

For starters this is the most beautiful animation visually I've ever seen, everything that involves the scenarios and forests seems all too real, the effects of rain or lighting and attention to detail are very impressive, sometimes it seems as if they are real scenarios filmed, and the characters are very well developed visually, is certainly that kind of film that is so beautiful that you just already want to buy it on Blu-Ray.

And to further help in this regard, 3D is beautiful and adds something to experience, it still manages to give more life to the film for direct transport you into that universe, as the image depth is really amazing and the moments where fireflies fly in the air, look like they are actually flying in the movie theater, so I recommend seeing it in the best possible room and larger screen you have.

The story may be a little derivative of other movies like "The Lion King" for example, but honestly it did not bother me at all, because if a story will use cliches at least use them well and worked here, I got involved enough with the plot and especially the two main characters Arlo and Spot, the relationship of the two is what drives the whole story you create a bond with them hoping to they achieve their goals and not to separate, it is such a beautiful and honest friendship that only this It is enough.

And to be clear this animation has everything to please the whole family, children will love it, parents will love, the film is full of humor, it is extremely funny, there are some scenes that are heartbreaking, which again They made me cry and, Pixar really knows thrill when she wants and here she wants to beat you on the ground.

One observation to make is that there are also jokes for adults that soon the children will grow up and understand certain scenes that did not understand before, typical thing of Pixar. And to close, the soundtrack of this film is absolutely brilliant, one of the best soundtracks I've heard in recent years and one of the most exciting trihas Pixar, there are melodies in this movie that are so beautiful and exciting for me deserved Oscar Nomination without exaggeration.

It may not be one of the best Pixar or be Oscar Winner this year as best animated feature because I still think "Inside Out" is better, for all the topics discussed and the innovative aspects discussed intelligently in the film, yet I fell in love with the " The Good Dinosaur "and I have nothing to say but to recommend it to everyone behind an animation that might not even be perfect but it's very touching and absolutely adorable.
