Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by James-Masaki R — 28 Dec 2010
A crazy bear, a hallucination of a chicken, bar room brawls, and a cabin on tthe edge of a cliff. All that, but nothing beats the dance of the bread rolls. You just have to see it to appreciate the insanity that Chaplin put into his productions, and the amazing innovations in cinema and comedy.
The Gold Rush is not his best movie, but it gets a solid 8.
