Review of The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980) by Wendy B — 21 May 2009
I first saw this while I was in high school (came out in 1984--4 years after the first release) and although the Bushmen lifestyle depictions may have been taken out of context, there is a boatload of humor in this fun classic.
The swash-bungling scientist was too occupied helping his lady friend get out of a "thorny" predicament, while not paying attention to his jeep being winched out of the river that later ends up in a tree.
That was the most hilarous part of the entire movie. I am interested to find out if the sequel has any of the same humor tactics used. :).
