Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by David E — 20 Mar 2011
As beautifully shot as the first two films in the series, but otherwise not on the same level as its predecessors. Coppola's direction is so different here that it doesn't even feel connected to the first two films, while the plot is merely servicable.
It concludes the story of the Corleones and is not wholly unsatisfying, but it's certainly not the masterpiece most viewers will be expecting by this point in the trilogy.
