Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by Anthony H — 30 Jul 2012
Following the brilliance of the first two films, Part III had a lot to live up to, and it didn't quite deliver. This is by no means a bad film. In fact, it is quite good. However, this time around the story contains character flaws and slow pacing that was absent from the rest of the series.
As expected, Al Pacino and Diane Keaton once again deliver incredible performances, and despite all of the horrible acts he has committed as mafia don, one can't help but feel a little bit bad for Michael Corleone.
The stunning climax wraps up the trilogy in a tragic, yet appropriate manner, and the series definitely does not feel complete without this entry.
