This film did not fail terribly but there was one big problem that overshadowed a few minor problems that ultimately made the movie mediocre. I think we can all agree that Sofia Coppola was the biggest problem with this film.

Her performance won her a razzie and it was well deserved, it's so annoying and over dramatic that it's pretty much an eye sore. The script was not all that impressive like the helicopter coming in and killing everyone for some reason, then that sort of just goes away.

I won't go too into detail because I think most people realize. This film did have some really good moments. Andy Garcia gives a truly magnificent performance as Vincent, he gave the best performance of the film, It's interesting to watch him come into power because he is more like Vito than Michael and it seems like Michael notices that.

The end of this film was pretty good, I loved the last scene, Michael always talks about protecting his family, and the last scene is the complete opposite of that. I thought it was a pretty brilliant end to the trilogy.

The third Godfather has some moments of greatness like the first two that are overshadowed by multiple errors and over the top performances and scenes. George Hamilton was also very good. But anyway, I still sort of liked the film but it cant at all match up with the first two, but then again that's nearly impossible to do.
