Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by Max G — 20 Mar 2013
Well, it's unfortunately one of the rare disappointing conclusions of a trilogy. Nothing much what made it's predecessors complete masterpieces. It lost all the intense emotion within the Corleone family that the first two had until the finale (sort of rushed), the acting is rather passable than powerful except in the case of Sofia Coppola's performance that ruined the interest on the Mary Corleone character, not many surprises are present, and lastly the religious turn on Michael Corleone at least tried to move up the tension with Michael's fall from the criminal underworld.
It could've been better, but somehow I feel that Francis Ford Coppola should've chose the wise decision to end his work with Part 2 to begin with as he originally intended.
