Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Kumiko I — 02 Aug 2012
Without question, one of the best movies of all time. I happened to flipping channels the other night when it was starting.. so naturally, I had to sit and watch the entire thing again.
The Godfather, Part II continues the tale of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) - but the film overlaps his story with that of his father's rise to become The Godfather years before (played by Robert De Niro). We often hear about these two powerhouse actors and their unforgettable performances in this film - but don't forget about Robert Duvall, who plays Tom Hagen (Michael's consigliere and most trusted confidante). The three of them in the same film.. what I would have given to be on this set during filming.
