Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Brian W — 04 Aug 2012
The Godfather Part II was the climax of Francis Ford Coppola's career as a director. If the original Godfather wasn't enough, the part II is even better than the first. It was fantastic to watch Robert De Niro as the young Vito Corleone rise to the level of Don in the streets of New York.
I loved Marlin Brando in the original Godfather, so to get even more information on this iconic character only enticed my imagination. That being said I don't want to belittle anyone else's performance.
I can honestly say that no one in this film that was off on their acting. The Godfather Part II lives on as one of the elite few that can top its predecessor.
