Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Bitan Kr P — 31 Mar 2015
It's not my favorite movie of all time, but there's no movie I respect more. Godfather II is a sequel and a prequel. We see the rise of the father, and the moral fall of the son. The scope of this film is truly epic.
The Sicilian scenery is beautiful. The violence and drama is powerful. Everyone involved has their 15 minutes of fame at some point, so everyone is memorable. Especially Pacino. In the Godfather he had youthful energy and the face of an amateur in the family business; now he has the cold, intimidating eyes of a killer, and the kiss of death.
