THE GODFATHER is a miraculous feat- it is, in my opinion, the best crime-drama film ever made, and one of the best movies made in recorded time. It is flawlessly acted, written, shot and directed- every scene in this movie is a masterpiece.
The film has an incredible story that is executed exactly right- the fascinating world Vito Corleone and his family live in is all too seemingly attractive, safe and enclosed- but it is really a horrifically violent and cruel world controlled by people who like to control others.
It is a perfect examination of the complex human psyche and human emotions.
