Review of The Godfather (1972) by Kyle H — 30 May 2014
The Godfather is a film that will probably either bore you or be a breath of fresh air for you. There's not much of a middle ground. For me, the latter happened. This film takes such a deep look into the human condition that we normally only see in novels, and it turns a scene as violent as mob life into a work of art.
It has a pace slower than most films in order to grasp these elements that make it so beautiful, and for that reason some may find it boring. Nevertheless, it is worth a watch in order for you to find out which category you fall into.
