Review of The God Who Wasn't There (2005) by Jim C — 23 Oct 2012
The God Who Wasn't There starts, at least initially, as what was promised - a thought provoking search for the historical Christ, but then devolves into a pseudo-intellectual recapitulation of director Brian Flemming's own loss of faith.
The film was conspicuously low budget. It almost looks as if the graphic sequences were produced on Adobe Flash and the interviews are amateurish. If you're looking for a compelling exposà (C) on the credulity of Christianity, there are better alternatives, such as Bill Maher's "Religulous" (2008).
