Review of The Glass Key (1942) by Patryk C — 12 Oct 2012
A sharp and engaging tale about political corruption, and a grizzly murder case somewhere in the middle. Brilliant performances by the whole cast greatly strengthen the experience. The Glass Key proves to have its deeply suspenseful moments, a truly hypnotizing black-and-white cinematography and sharp dialogues.
It's a pitch-perfect depiction of the criminal underworld, which has its ties to the political sphere, and the demented people that can't distinguish between good and bad until a crime is committed.
