The rating is off on this film. It's not PG-13. For mature and adult content I would give it an R. Indifferent on the film one way or the other. came off as a possible rental as opposed to a required theatre experience.
It had it's moments. At times it was brilliant, but walked away feeling meh, loved it at times but it seems to fail in some subtle nuianced way I can't quite put my finger on though admittingly I have not read the book.
