All the performances in the movie are really excellent, most notably the main child actor who absolutely knocks it out of the park. The movie does a great job at building Woody Harrelson's character, a deeply flawed man with a good heart.
He's a decent guy but a horrible father. This is unfortunately undercut by an ending that mostly lets him off the hook.
