Review of The Giver (2014) by Luke C — 24 Apr 2015

For some reason I had thought I would not like this film. I only had to look at the fact that Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift where in a movie with such a great actor as Meryl Streep and had to think something was seriously wrong.

But surprisingly it was better than I expected. Yes it's another young adult novel about the future, but this time it's worth the journey. Good special effects and solid performances from the young actors, especially Brenton Thwaites.

It will help you remember that with all the bad things happening in the world today, there are great things that makes us human and different from each other, which is what this world needs, not sameness.
