Review of The Giver (2014) by Spencer K — 16 Aug 2015
Philip Noyce has a great visual style that he brings to The Giver but the execution is off and the thought provoking ideas that are prevalent in the novel are lost in this just mediocre adaptation of a brilliant novel.
Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep and Brenton Thwaites are good in their roles but they can't save the lousy script and bogged down ideas.
