This is an excellent film that sensitively handles a heartbreaking event. Beyond the headlines, however, the film does a brilliant job at capturing the art, rock and soul of one of music's most enduring rock legends--Mia Zapata.
The film focuses on the band The Gits and their charismatic lead singer whose influence continues to inspire countless musicians, songwriters and artists all these years later. Viva Zapata!
