Review of The Girlfriend Experience (2009) by Chris G — 16 Sep 2009

The Girlfriend Experiance is a well crafted Experimental drama about the life of a high class Call Girl, This film was directed by Steven Soderbergh who directed the Oceans movies, though I say that this film is far more interesting than the Oceans movies.

Chelsea(or Christine,sometimes she uses different names) is a high class Call Girl or Escort who offers men "The Girlfriend Experience" instead of just having sex with them. Though under harsh economy, her client rate starts to slip down, even her boyfriend is under economic stress, though he is invited to go on a trip to vegas, he declines but later accepts the invitation. She is interviewed by a Journalist from "The Erotic Conoisseur" who asks her various interesting questions. She later meets with David a writer from Los Angeles who becomes interested in Chelsea and asks her if she would stay with him for an entire weekend, this not only threatens her realationship with her boyfriend Chris but comprimises the deal they made when they started dating.

What this movie shows is the true face of human nature, we see what we desire and we would do anything to obtain that desire.

Sasha Grey who is an actual Pornsatr plays her part well, I dont think anyone else could have played that role other than her.I as well think that the entire cast did a great job of playing there parts in this film.

The Cinematography was well done, in fact I thought it was some of the best cinematography out of 2009 mainly because it was shot with relatively inexpensive RedOne cameras.

Overall this movie clearly isnt for everyone, though I enjoyed it alot I say if your going to watch this movie, do what the poster says "see it with someone you ****".
