Review of The Girlfriend Experience (2009) by Bill R — 11 Dec 2009

I was underwhelmed by Sasha Grey's mainstream acting debut, but it isn't all her fault: she wasn't given much to work with. But perhaps I say this because I was expecting to see Sasha Grey, the Sasha Grey I have come to know through Rolling Stoneâ??a young, popular, subversively feminist porn starâ?? and so was disappointed when instead I encountered the underdeveloped character Chelsea/Christine/whatever her name is.

I empathize with few of the characters; I would say it's because they're despicable, but in truth I was not impressed enough by any of them to use so strong an adjective. I think this project had potential, I just think it fell far short of it.
