Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by Matt S — 16 Mar 2013

The girl with the dragon tattoo is an absolute cinematic masterpiece. Rooney Mara is amazing and her portrayal of her character is one of the reason this film is so well executed, The directing and cinematography are also brilliantly executed to take you on an exhilarating ride. This is personally my favorite Daniel Craig role, he sells the angst and feeling flawlessly. (I really like Daniel Craig as James Bond, but his acting in this type of dramatic portrayal really comes across well. This role really makes you feel like he is having fun with his character, if you like him as an actor do not miss this film.

The film is dark and violent, so I would not recommend it for children or adults who are sensitive to those types of movies. However, if you do enjoy a gritty non cookie cutter story, this is a great one to catch. I am anticipating the sequels to continue to push the viewer experience as this film did, so I am waiting in anticipation for them to be shot.
