Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by Mitch T — 03 Dec 2015
First off the amount of layers to this film leaves you wishing to watch it immediately after the first screening. Some may find the idea of dropping a major plot point for the majority of the movie just to revive it in the last 20 minutes a bit out of place, but I thought it was a great way to remind us the point of the two protagonists investigation in the first place, and reveals how daniel craigs personal gain transitions into full dedication to the family's mystery, almost leaving the original motive invisible for a great portion of the film.
Although clearly a "style over substance" picture I found the substance to be intriguing for the entire film, never leaving you wishing for more depth. Great movie!
