Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by Micheal K — 29 Oct 2013
Do not watch this movie stoned. This is a long ass detective movie told from the perspective of two different people. Even though Daniel Craig is the main character, most people are going to remember Rooney Mara as the goth chick.
The story is about Daniel Craig losing a big case and being disgraced. Then a multi-billionaire calls him up one day wanting him to look into a crime case that took place about 30 years earlier. Basically, he is asked to start investigating all of the old mans living family for clues.
I've been thinking about the movie for around a day and it's good but not great and I think it might be the source material rather than David Fincher. At the end of the movie, all I could think was ok that was cool, but was that really it? Oh and don't watch this with family cause there are some scenes that are graphic as hell.
Jesus Christ those rape scenes are violent and ironically enough are probably the only things that you'll remember about the movie the next day. I know many people wont like this movie but it's still worth seeing cause this franchise has sold over 50 million copies all over the world.
Aren't you a little curious to see what all the fuss is about?
