A fresh take on the zombie genre that is both original and interesting. The Girl With All The Gifts is wonderfully filmed as the cinematography was very appealing and the special effects makeup was brilliant.

The story however, not as impressive. There's hardly enough explanation of what's going on in the beginning then suddenly the audience is left to wonder if it's another zombie flick, the characters aren't given a backstory nor enough solo screen time to cement their role in the storyline, and after maintaining the patience to watch through at such a sluggish and uneventful pace, the ending is an absolute disappointment.

I would've really liked to enjoy this movie but there's just not enough to like.
