Review of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (1997) by Bobby L — 26 Nov 2009
A gorgeous, surprisingly intense anime about a girl whom discovers the ability to leap through time just before she gets hit by a train, which was the icing on her worst day ever! She then jumps back and forth, as she pleases, being selfish, but her actions are inadvertently hurting her friends and family; to say more would ruin the plot.
The dubbing was pretty good considering most dubs suck, and the score and one J-Pop song was quite catchy. To see how Makaoto changes from selfish to learning her lesson is mesmerizing, without seeming like it.
Some friends are in trouble right near the end, and it's so gripping to see what she does, and I was astonish as to how invested I was.
