Review of The Girl on the Bridge (1999) by Brenda B — 19 Jul 2008
A beautifully filmed ode to the French New Wave. This film is an absolute joy to watch from beginning to end. The black and white cinematography is a stand out as is the acting from both leads. It's really hard to describe what this film is but it's something that could have vastly different meanings for different people.
For me, it's everything film can be. Smart, suspenseful, beautiful, erotic, unique and anything else you'd look for in a person, let alone a film. This is the embodiment of the human spirit. Seriously.
