Review of The Girl Next Door (2004) by Jillian L — 02 Sep 2012
So, I assumed this was going to be one of those typical raunchy teen comedies, which it was. However, there was a little something more in this one. It was Emilie Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert. Because the story itself was nothing gloriously new and original, but these two were great.
They were funny, had great chemistry, and were a lot of fun to watch. Also, Timothy Olyphant was pretty funny as her old producer. The rest of the cast was extremely stereotypical, especially the two friends and the parents.
There was stuff with that that could have been taken away and the core of the movie would definitely still had been there. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I've never seen a character build himself a bigger hole than this one.
Like something would happen and I would say "what now?!" Overall though, a decently funny teen movie that's worth a watch for the ridiculous storyline and Emilie Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert.
