Review of The Gingerbread Man (1998) by Jim M — 20 Mar 2013
While not among Altman's best, this is still a well made and executed thriller, with solid performances from its talented cast, especially Downy Jr as a slimey private eye, some great night time sequences that take on a nightmarish quality set against the bayous, and tight editing and dialogue that creates lots of tension and unease throughout, especially later when the stakes are raised personally for Branagh's character.
