Review of The Gift (2000) by Wilson S — 23 May 2008
Sam Raimi has done it again, working with writer Billy Bob Thornton and a stellar cast to craft a spooky, character driven thriller. Cate Blanchett, who is possibly the greatest actress of these times, is great, as are Greg Kinnear and (surprisingly) Keanu Reeves.
The only thing I didn't really care for was the somewhat predictable and generic ending, but this rest of the film more than makes up for it, making this a small but memorable addition to Raimis oeuvre.
