Review of The Giant Behemoth (1959) by Samuel C — 20 Apr 2008
I really enjoyed this film up until the last 30 minutes where the dreaded sea monster causes havoc on London. The stop-motion is smooth but some of the effects are terrible, sound design is god awful with massive gaps with hardly any sound whilst things are being destroyed and the ending is extrmely unclimactic.
It's ashame because it builds up well and does a good job at hiding the monster and creating a sense of threat.
