Review of The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) by Jeff H — 14 Apr 2008
A true story tailor-made for Hollywood: manly men stalk chillingly wraithlike beasts in the wild heart of Africa. Refreshingly straightforward storytelling grabs ahold of the plot with both hands - but not at the expense of the larger-than-life characters.
Dark and bloody spiritualization makes this a horror film. Indomitable gusto makes it fun.
