Review of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) by Catherine J — 05 Aug 2007
My favourite movie of all time! Don't let the year or the fact it's black & white put you off. This film is quite bittersweet, as we see the pair falling in love only they can never even so much as touch, which makes it all quite tragic but this film is still fantastically funny.
Rex Harrison's grouchy sea captain is so gruff, yet disarmingly charming at the same time. It's a great performance, with some spot on dialogue. I can't convey how much I love this film, it's touching, funny and a bloody good story!
