Review of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) by Camille L — 13 Jun 2013
This is a beautiful film, a supernatural romance with a very English sensibility and sense of humour. Rex Harrison plays the titular spectre, a salty dog who can't help but fall in love with the swoonsome Gene Tierney and George Sanders is a conceited bounder.
For the squillionth time. What more could you want? One of those films where the manliest of men (myself, obviously) is liable to get something in his eye just before the end credits.
