It is one of my all time favouriites, I saw and was captivated by it when I was a small girl. I saw it again when it was on telly about ten years ago and it was every bit as haunting and fantastic. It was made in the forties but Mrs Muir is so modern in her independence.
And just wait for the glass of milk at the end, it will have you in tears if you are that way inclined...
