Review of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) by Jimbo S — 06 Oct 2008
I was attracted by this film due to the stars, neither of whom I felt I'd seen enough of. I was right to thirst for more, as I've now seen this underrated gem. Harrison is perhaps an odd choice for his character, particularly with his strange, gruff voice, but after getting to know the old sailor, it seems in retrospect, an inspired piece of casting.
Tierney is beautiful and George Sanders plays an interesting character to throw a spanner into the proverbials. A great romantic film, all told.
