I loved the TV show when I was a kid and never knew it was originally a movie until a few days ago when I was looking up Gene Tierney films at the library. I must say I prefer the film, it is beautifully shot and one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen.
The relationship between the Captain and Mrs Muir is heartbreaking, but the end made me cry. I have a bit of a crush on Rex Harrison now :D This is definitely a film to add to a list of my favorites.
