Review of The Game (1997) by Romeo H — 03 Feb 2016
Superb David Fincher film. Uncredited script rewrite by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en). Dark, enigmatic and wonderful. Michael Douglas is great as a privileged world-class investment banker who falls down the rabbit hole.
Every time you think you know which way North is, this film twists and twists again. Hitchcock would have been proud of this one. By the way, critics who think the ending needs work are clueless and need to pay attention next time they watch this movie.
Everything about the plot works, and works well. One of my favorite films of all time.
